Halls cough drops are like candy here. They're sold at all checkout lines and I don't mean just one flavor, I'm talking a variety here. There are more options of halls cough drop flavors than gum. Ok, maybe it's not that extreme, but it always surprises me to see it everywhere here. I saw it in the work vending machines the other day. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for eating cough drops like they're candy when you're sick, but I don't usually go with Halls... I'd say Ricola throat lozenges... cherry. I sometimes wonder if they use it as a breath mint or something other than a cough suppressant... that would explain why they're so prevalent... unless Mexicans just get sick more, but I seriously doubt that.
